According to national standards, the particle size of activated carbon should be between 20-40 mesh, which translates to a particle size of around 0.42-0.85mm. Activated carbon with particles larger than 1.5mm is not as effective as activated carbon with smaller particles. Generally speaking, the smaller the particle size of activated carbon, the larger the specific surface area, which means the better the adsorption effect. However, the smaller the particle size, the greater the loss and the larger the dust. Therefore, many manufacturers use activated carbon with larger particles to reduce costs, but the effect is not good.
