    Overview and Characteristics:

    Polypropylene melt blown filter cartridge is made of polypropylene resin as raw material into fibers, which are wound and bonded together by the fibers themselves. The structure of the filter element is a gradually increasing diameter structure with coarse outer fibers, fine inner fibers, loose outer layer, and tight inner layer. The unique gradient deep filtration creates a three-dimensional slag filtration effect, characterized by high porosity, high retention rate, large pollutant capacity, high flow rate, and low pressure drop.

    2. Filtering accuracy:

    Absolute filtering accuracy: Theoretically, filtering out 100% of the marked particle size is called absolute filtering accuracy. The so-called absolute accuracy is actually the accuracy that tends towards absolute.

    Nominal filtration accuracy: The public value of the initial filtration accuracy of the filter element. The nominal accuracy for filtering the marked particle size is probabilistic filtering.

    4 Filter cartridge model description:

    ⑴ Classification of filter cartridges

    Filter cartridges are divided into three categories: general type (VP, referring to household water purifier filter cartridges with average lifespan, etc.), high-efficiency type (AP, referring to engineering filter cartridges with high flow rate and long lifespan, etc.), and special type (TP, referring to filter cartridges used in special occasions or with special requirements).

    ⑵ Model representation method

    The model is composed of product series classification, precision, specifications, and other types.

    Selection of 5 filter cartridges:

    In addition to technical indicators such as length, inner diameter, outer diameter, connection method, sealing form, and compatibility with the filtered medium, the filter element also has necessary technical parameters such as accuracy, retention rate, flow rate, and pollutant holding capacity. It is these completely independent technical indicators that form the inherent quality of the filter element. Only by selecting a filter element that meets all these indicators can it be used well, and with a reasonable selection of the number of elements, it is even more economical.

    The nominal accuracy exists with the assistance of interception rate, and there is no standard recognized and followed by all industry players. That is to say, for the same 5 μ m product, Company A can set the retention rate at 85-95%, while Company B can set it at 50-70%, as you please. In other words, Company A's 25 μ m filtering accuracy may be equal to Company B's 5 μ m or finer. Even though the two filters shown in the figure have the same filtering ability of 95% for 5 μ m particles, their filtering functions do have significant differences.
